Another PSA about traffic tickets at the DFW airport: |
|
Edited on Sat Apr-12-08 05:53 PM by KC2
Apparently, the DFW airport/Police can issue a warrant after only 10 days a traffic ticket is issued, if a person does not contact the appropriate court, before that date.
How the hell did I know?
Oh, and, yes... I probably have a warrant out for my arrest now.
Un-fucking-believable.
*sigh*

To be honest with you, I just looked at it today... at the fine print, that is.
I read the front of the ticket the day I got it, but I never did read the back. It took me this long to calm down about it and feel like dealing with it. Today is day 10, btw, and there is no answer (of course) at any of the phone numbers listed on the back of the ticket. :-(
Monday morning, I will "turn myself in," I guess. But I have no idea if my driver's license will be suspended now or what.
I sure know how to make a mess of things.
Thanks for the hug.

This sort of thing happens all the time. It's no big deal. Really.

I got in touch with a friend of mine who calmed me down about it. I'll admit, I panicked for awhile there. Sorry about that...thanks for responding to my thread.
