My eyes hurt...
I just finished a simulation of optimal order quantities for a car dealer using random number itinerations (i.e. I tell the computer to generate a random number and then generate the demand of sales for that month by comparing the random number to a probability table.).

Simulation had 19 order quantities to check, with a 1000 itinerations (each itineration is a new random number) leaving me with 19000 separate cells of data to observe (hence the eyes hurting).

What's worse, 1000 itinerations have only narrowed it to a 10 car range for optimal order quantity, so I now have to redo the whole damn thing with more itinerations and more specific order quantities (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, instead of 5, 10, 15...).

Stupid financial models.

1. Good thing you don't have epilepsy!
You might be on the floor after all of that!

But it's Saturday....

Shouldn't you be out, kicking up your heels instead? ;)

3. Did that earlier
Had a great day, but decided I'd get some work done tonight while the wife was sleeping.

I'm thinking of putting off the final projection until some other time, though, and posting cat pictures instead.

4. How many times did you try?
And did you measure the depth each time to get a feel for what the average depth might be?

Because otherwise your sample size is far too small to take any depth reading you have seriously.

6. I don't understand: if car dealers use math and science to figure out how many
cars to order, why do we keep hearing "OMG! EVERYTHING MUST GO! WE ORDERED TOO MANY CARS! THE LOT IS FLOODED! HUGE DEALS NOW!!! SUPER CHEAP! (withapprovedcreditnotallbuyerswillqualify)"
