3. When you do yardwork in those crocs...
do you wear black socks with the presidential seal on them?

:silly:

5. I knew we'd gone native
the day we efficiently rerouted around a freeway shooting to reach Dodgers Stadium.

7. I hear you. I once drove all the way from La Habra to Irvine without getting on the freeway
I had a lawn mower in the back of my van, and could not shut the tailgate... thus necessitating a 2+ hour drive on the surface streets. Needless to say, I am glad I know I can eschew the freeway when I need to, but that route sure took a long time because of all the traffic lights.

8. I have been living in Minnesota since the Pleistocene era
and for most of those eons I've been wearing flipflops. The only problem this spring is that I'm getting snowflakes between my toes. But seriously: It was up to 42 degrees today, most but not all of the snow is gone, and I saw 3 or 4 people tiptoeing over the clumps of dirty snow wearing flipflops. We are a hardy people, we Minnesotans.
