I too am trying to recall the name of a movie I saw long ago.

I too am trying to recall the name of a movie I saw long ago.
The closing line is--

"I stopped to think, if only I hadn't stopped to think."

Last thought by man accidently struck down by car driven by his wife's lover. She rolls the window down, peers at crumpled man and says, "I think I know that man" as the car leaves the scene. It's probably a mid 70's to early 80's movie.

My total lack of success in finding this movie has plagued me for years, please help if you can.
