My Monday Morning (100% TRUE STORY!)
So I get pulled over this morning on a busy road in a small New England town heading to work. Rush hour, cop has his lights flashing, siren, the works.

He comes up to me and tells me dispatch called in a report of a black
pickup (which I drive) with a cat on the roof. A cat.

I was the first black pickup he saw so he pulled me over.

Officer: We have a report of a black pickup with a cat on the roof. Do you
have a cat?

Me: I have 2 but they are at home as far as I know.

Officer: So no cats with you at this time?

Me: No cats sir.

Officer: So you haven't been driving with a cat on your roof?

Me: Do you SEE a cat on my roof?

Officer: Mind if I look in your truck for evidence of a cat?

Me: Help yourself.

Officer makes me get out of the truck on BUSY road and inspects.

Me: Don't mind the fur. That is from my dog, and no, he hasn't been on the roof either to my knowledge.

Me: Officer, if I had a cat on the roof wouldn't you be able to see it when
you pulled me over?

Officer (laughing now): You have a good point. Have a nice day.

:eyes:

Go ahead and rob a bank in this sleepy New England town tomorrow. The cops are 'occupied'

5. OMG LOLOL that is funny
silly occifer, the cat would have slid off the roof at about 40 anyway, probably leaving some really deep claw marks on the roof, besides most cats would have jumped off when the vehicle started moving.

"Me: Don't mind the fur. that is from my dog, and no, he hasn't been on the roof either to my knowledge."

12. You know, I have to say this, but I'm putting on my tinfoil hat.
This is SO illogical that I almost think that they were inventing an excuse to pull black pickups over and inspect them without a warrant. The only thing thing that makes me doubt my suspicious is that it's an odd story to make up... however, it enabled them to search your truck, didn't it? :tinfoilhat:

as far as I know it isn't even ILLEGAL to drive with a cat on your roof although I'm no lawyer :P

if he was a young guy I would have thought it was a rookie hazing thing but this was up in a sleepy town and NOTHING is impossible up there

28. I had a friend in high school who was taking Spanish
and there were only about two phrases he deemed useful enough to employ in everyday life. One of them was "I have a cat in my pants." :eyes: :P (The other was "(insert boy's name here) is wearing a yellow dress.") I had weird friends. :P
