NPR had them on- Very strange interviews about how the pope needs to send clear messages or millions of catholics will be lost? We need strict rules to live by etc etc. The people they interviewed were professionals in their twenties but they sounded like they were round the bend?

They didn't have a choice and were forced to join the Hitler Youth. NO ONE calls them Nazis.

Do you really think it is fair to call Pope Benedict that because he was born in a certain generation and forced to do something?

I know for a fact that my mother-in-law was not a Nazi and she was forced to join the female version of the Hitler Youth. My father-in-law was not a Nazi and he was drafted into the German Army.

It's too damn bad that people who just happened to be born at a certian time in the 20th century in a certain country get branded because a fucking madman forced something upon them. They can spend their entire life NOT BEING A NAZI and NOT ESPOUSING NAZI IDEALS and still get swiped with a giant broad brush and I AM SICK OF IT.
