but it's good to know you're handy, esp. since chickens don't have any... anyway, the "handy" stuff is pretty simple, but I still haven't been able to do it.

my big deal is all the junk (and not junk) that I've accumulated over the years. what I should do is just talk to people on the phone while I do this. that's what I used to do all the time when I had to clean house, etc. b/c it's sooo boring. At least when you're talking to someone else you can just sort of deal with the mindless stuff.

trying to set a date for my mondo garage sale. that will help.

I have to have a garage sale b/c I have a ton of books (part of my problem now) that I bought over the years b/c I thought I was gonna have to open a store just to be able to stay in town till my kids were old enough for me to move... and they are now.

but there is no way I am giving away all those books. I don't have to move yet, I'm just trying to get to the point where I can. But I will make more than a thousand bucks from a garage sale if I only sale half of those books... after I garage sale, then I'll donate. I've already given so much stuff away... I'm the youngest of 7, in one way or another (steps, halves) and I was always the designated getter... and I've always just passed those things along. but furniture, etc... not until a garage sale.

I'm already asking my kids what they want to save/keep for themselves when they get apts. etc. they can store stuff at their dads.
