Just TRY to stop me. I'm burning BOOKS! |
|
I'm burning McCullough's 1776 right now. I'm on disk 7 of 10.
Well, what did you think I meant?
I can't stand this commute without feeding my brain, man.

I can't do audiobooks in the car. I get too engrossed and distracted, and I'm a bad enough driver as it is. :P

4. it's gonna take some getting used to |
|
i went from brand-new spacious clean attractive surroundings to almost exactly the opposite. not filth, but very unattractive, potentially depressing (not depressing, but what's the word for something that brings you down?).
but it has its compensations. like, compensation. and the people are nice. i will learn to like my surroundings - or at least to overlook them.
howz by you?

I was only going to approve if they were written by rabid fundie-right-wingers ;)
I do the same, although I download my mp3s from our library. Am doing ok, although the selection is dwindling... but yeah, gets me through my commute, too! :hi:

Truman. I've read it but I'd like to listen to it. I think that might get me through three or four weeks.

I just bought John Adams for my son. It's a great book. We are following the fantastic miniseries on HBO. http://www.hbo.com/films/johnadams/My son Karl was the one who told me about it. He's a real history nut. :D :pals:
