After so many years, most people run out of good plot lines. They haven't. excellent writing, excellent actors.

9. Some training they give those NYC cops huh? |

First lightbrite figures out that the they must JUST be in shock
THEN he refers to the "murder weapon" when there was no murder
:eyes:
My wife started watching it a few weeks ago. I saw 5 minutes last night and was not impressed but I do have to say that the women's prison episode is rather intriguing

Truth be told, I thought the episode was predictable in every aspect, from the mother's death to the last-ditch effort to get the kid to act as a witness. Fin was clearly going to save Olivia, so no amount of fumbling with the keys was going to make me bite my nails.
I like Olivia's character so I'm glad Fin arrived on time, but I wonder if we'd be in for better episodes if he hadn't. A really bitter Olivia spending the next 10-12 episodes seriously crossing the line with rapists (so much so that she makes Elliot look like the voice of reason) could have REALLY made for intense TV.

18. That would be too painful. |

Unlike you, though, I wondered if she would get raped just for the sake of making it more shocking.

I was sure she wasn't going to get raped, as I indicated - but I also thought if Fin was going to rescue her it would have been MUCH better TV to keep his undercover role unseen until he actually stepped in and saved her. When she was in real trouble in a situation that would have me as a viewer almost as panicked as the character had Fin's undercover role not been revealed at that point, I would have found the episode unforgettable for life if all of a sudden he appeared out of nowhere to save her. Instead, I sat there thinking "yeah, yeah, now Fin's going to bail out of the immunization line and get to her just in time."
When it happened exactly, like that, I rolled my eyes and said to myself "Gee, that was a tough call."
I thought they had a great plot twist there for the taking - and they blew it.

I wasn't able to give it my full attention last night due to some ongoing sports broadcasts (go Avs!)
