As long as it was only on dumb-ass shows like Entertainment Tonight, I could avoid it. Now it's everywhere! On my local t.v. news, on my yahoo page, everywhere, dammit!

And every minute that is devoted to Britney or Paris's or (pick the celeb du jour) private life is a minute that our news media is NOT reporting on issues that matter.

The big question? Why the fuck do they think I care about the personal lives of people I've never met? Can't they just live their lives like everyone else without cameras following them everywhere?

The other day, I just happened to catch a moment of a program where some jackasses had followed Keri Russell to the grocery store and filmed her checking out and getting in her car. They then proceeded to harass her about her choice to use re-usable bags and drive a Prius. WTF? Can't a woman shop in peace? And who cares? Is this supposed to be entertainment?
