Stupid dating site.

Hmph. I can't find a date in the offline world so maybe I should try a dating site, reasoned I. That will probably be filled with other people who also have trouble finding dates in the offline world, or people who are looking for something you don't find every day.

But nobody ever looks at me there either. Apparently I'm not good enough for people who use a dating site either.

It's enough to make me want to give the whole world the middle finger. And I would, if I had a middle finger that was sufficiently large to tell the whole world to swivel on it.

Find a female friend who you trust the opinion of...have them critique the profile text. Sometimes we forget that some things which are true and funny may come across poorly to people who don't know us.

Or it could be the site...some of them really suck balls overall(eHarmony); some are only good for certain niches(OkCupid, the assorted Spring St. Networks sites on Nerve, the Village Voice, Salon.com, etc.), if you're outside the niche you're not going to have luck there.

1) finding the right job took time
2) now I've got to find the time to do everything that I always did plus work
3) my doctor has me on a new drug and I'm awfully tired. I'll adjust in time.
