My ardoring fan

Today, the home care giver lady was helping my aunt her normal 3 hours a day. That gave me a chance to take a nap. Only thing was, it got so hot in my room that I could not feel the little floor fan at all. I took a look at it and saw it was dirty. So, tonight, I gave it a good cleaning from all angles and even vacuumed the motor as best I could. I didn't have any machine oil or WD40 like I usually do and was disappointed about that, but...

When I turned it on, it damn near blew me out of the room...and that was on medium. I tried high and it had to be about half the decibels in volume as it was before. It's running so much quieter and better now.

So, NOW I understand why people do maintenance on their fans and A/C units. They want to keep their adoring fans happy. :P

Okay, the play on words in this case is lame at best, I know, but if anyone else has a fan that might be running louder than normal and not really "putting out" like normal, they can try cleaning it, I suppose. I'm just talking. I'm still sleepy. I never got that nap today. It was way way way too hot in here. I can't wait to see how it works tomorrow. I may take a nap then after all. :D
