I had a glass of 30-year old whisky tonight, and a glass of 25 year old, and two glasses 12 year old

It was a nice afternoon.

This was at the Suntory Distillery, and at the sampling bar they had the 30 and 25 year old by the glass, so that I didn't have to buy a $1000 bottle to taste them.

The 30 year old was sublime, and if I were rich, I would be instantly addicted.

The 25 year old was the Hakushu, a bit peety from the Suntory Distillery in Hakashu - we didn't like that one as well as we liked the 12 year old version of it. It basically tasted like a weaker 16 year old Lagavulin to me, and considering the Lagavulin is $75 versus $1000 for the 25 year old Hakushu, I'll stick with my Lagavulin.

The 30 year old Hibichi, though - OMG. Matcom would love it.

TOTALLY worth a grand a bottle.
