2. I ate at a Whataburger and also a Church's
Thanks for the hug!
I'm thinking it was the Churches chicken. My friend also ate the Whataburger and didn't get sick. I got so ill I ended up in the ER. THis is day 3 since then and I still feel crappy but it's improving a little bit. I'm trying to eat solid food this morning, just a little oatmeal and some kiwi fruits. Normally I would welcome a few days off from work but not like this!

8. Kiwi fruits are good
But that might be too much acid for you right now, you need bland foods until everything......
goes away.......

I feel your pain
its no fun when that happens........

:hi: :hi:

10. The kiwis are done now
I ate those for a little bit of vitamin c. I've been eating just oatmeal and cream of wheat. The Dr has me on Cipro for killing the bug plus some other drugs for the nausea and the stomach cramps.
I hate being this sick, I feel really weak physically and even mentally. It's hard to concentrate while being groggy from fever.

Thank you for the hug, I really appreciate it.

6. Not a chance
I'll be avoiding those places like the Plague, which I felt like I had.
Sorry for the late reply, I went back to sleep for awhile.

4. I am very, very, very sorry for what must have been
days of total hell.

I hope you are feeling much better, and moving towards a very quick and full recovery. :)

May you never have to go through that kind of pain and sickness ever again.

9. Thanks for the hug!
It has been pretty hellish and a little gross too. I'm feeling a little better but not even close to 100% yet. I be spending the rest of today in bed and hopefully I'll feel even better tomorrow.
I wouldn't wish this on even my enemies.

5. 1964
and I remember it well. On the third day I was convinced I'd die, went to the doc, got a $5 shot of something that almost immediately started to make me feel better though full recovery took close to a month. Never was able to figure out the cause.
Hang in there.

7. Thanks for the encouragement
I've pretty much stopped with the nasty symptoms on both ends that bring on the dehydration, but I still feel pretty washed out.

11. Are you feeling OK?
Has the worst part passed? Or are you still broadcasting in technicolor?

15. I'm slowly recovering
I still have to be fairly close to a bathroom but I'll live. I'm still feeling a little spaced out on Day 4, but I'm definitely getting better.
I think I can finally get rid of the Depends for now. :hurts:

13. Ack!! I hope you feel better!!
I had that once, too. Real bad. I was VERY sick for a full week and "not right" for 2 more. That was awful. I don't wish that on ANYONE.

16. Thanks PN!
Recovery is slow but sure. On Day 4, I still feel fairly wiped out but I can at least function. I credit going to the ER for rehydration and the Cipro for my "rapid" improvement. I'm expecting to feel like hell for another week or so, but not at the level of that first night and day. I wouldn't even wish that on Dick Cheney, although he would deserve it if he got it.

17. Worst weight loss program ever!
I am really, really sorry for you. It's going to take a while before you feel 100%. I still shudder at the thought of eating any part of what we had for dinner the night I got food poisoning. Not sure what dinner item actually gave it to me but that whole meal is now impossible to contemplate without feeling queasy - and that was more than 30 years ago.

From some refried beans 3 years ago, thought I was going to die. I still can't eat them. Glad to hear you are feeling better...thank goodness for modern medicine....:hi:
