they've decided to bring in an outsider rather than promote me...and when I asked to be transferred to another location closer to home so that I'm not spending my entire paycheck on gasoline or I was leaving, they didn't take me seriously.

Fuck them. I love this company...but it's a one-sided affair much of the time.

A local Cajun/NOLA style restaurant, which is owned by NOLA natives, is having their annual crawfish boil tonight! GOOD EATIN'!

My boyfriend made the t-shirts for the local youth playhouse production and they gave him tickets to tonight's show! It should be lots of fun! I thought the movie was really cute (and I'm over 40!)

22. you sound like me, all i've been doing is cleaning and dishes and laundry are never really done

unless you use paper plates and throw away your clothes after you wear them. I have guests coming in June so i finally decided my guest room needed attention----omg wtf was i thinking? the room is now totally cleaned out including the closet, ceiling fan purchased and is sitting in the box waiting for my tired ass to install it, so is the new wall switch but i'm so tired right now i think i'd electrocute myself. Installation will have to be done tomorrow.

It never fucking ends. I leave work and come home to, whadya know...more work! I do get a chance to relax through the week but the weekend is one huge housekeeping marathon. I do have it down to a system but still, I want to go camping! Waaaaaaaaa!

But doesn't it feel good to have that done? We did the spring clean a couple of weekends ago and wow! What a difference.

Enjoy your guests! I bet they'll love the guest room and really appreciate the effort you put into their comfort.
