I refrained from responding to a snarky email today - ask me anything! |
|
A person who has been a thorn in the flesh tried to get a reaction from me today and I refused to bite. I will admit that a coworker talked me into that course - I wanted to snark right back but she convinced me that the best strategy was just to pretend I never got the email. She was probably correct but I really wanted to let this person have it. Ah well....

1. You're a bigger person than me! Congrats on your good judgement! |

I had a similar situation tonight. I should've ignored it, walked away from someone just trying to get a rise out of me. Sadly, I bit!
As to asking you anything...how are you feeling about your choice now?

2. I am thinking I probably better stay away from my email for a while. |

3. Dammit, you clearly don't understand! |

If you don't respond, civility and peace may break out. Then where will we be???

4. Actually in this case there is a possibility it will just make this person madder. |

So I may get the psychological satisfaction of seeing her stew in her juices and all the while I can claim the high road. This is a great country. I am feeling quite smug now.
