Stupid person loses job because they tried to cheat for a few bucks
I'm so pissed and upset because it's my assistant who did it. Why are people so fucking stupid?

She has always been prompt and reliable but for the last week, she's been coming in late. Always a different excuse. I spoke to her about it but the lateness wasn't a huge big deal to me as long as she got there because I knew she'd been having a few personal issues.

Turns out she wasn't clocking in so she'd have to fill out a manual timecard and she was filling it out as if she'd come in on time.

So to gain a few bucks, she's going to lose the whole paycheck. Why are people so fucking stupid and shortsighted? :grr:

1. I think that sometimes when the private life is crazy, people get crazy with their jobs too.
I worked with a woman who lost her 80K job because she kited a $30 petty cash voucher. She and hubby were living way beyond their means and way beyond broke. Hubby was an emotionally abusive jerk too. Stupid, stupid stupid.
