when i was vacation a drank champagne one night and then the next night it mojitos, that is my new favorite drink, no taste of booze and they really sneak up on you.

Or cosmos; 1 shot vanilla vodka, 1 shot triple sec, 2 shots cranberry juice and not quite a full shot of lime juice. They really sneak up on you, and they taste just like juice... and you must Key West Lime Juice; it's the best. :9

23. i went out to dinner with just my husband when we were in Prague and i had 4 mojitos and 3 glasses

of champagne and i was pretty buzzed, we were walking back to the hotel and he's all "Honey you're really loud, Honey, honey....where are you going, the hotel's this way" "Oh ok, what, omg can we move here?" I'm sure i totally embarrassed him but the good people of Prague are a drinky folk so i'm sure my buzzed idiocy wasn't a new thing to them.

1-1/2 ounce of hard alcohol is supposed to be the same amount of alcohol as 12 ounces as beer

so either you are drinking large beers of some kind {not impossible) or your cocktails/mixed drinks are watered down somehow

but if they are using a shot glass to measure out the alcohol in a mixed drink it is comparable with a beer

beer is carbonated

carbonation speeds the alcohol absorption through the stomach and small intestinal lining.

Forgo the mixer, shots with carbonated chaser like beer, then you will discover drunker :P

That's the only reason I could think of. I guess it would depend on what kind of mixed drinks and what kind of beer are being compared. Something like amaretto has about 1/2 as much alcohol as whiskey or vodka. And beer could be anywhere from 3% to 10% alcohol..... and how big is "a beer"? 12 oz? 20 oz? Over here a beer is 20 oz, and I'm done after 2 of those usually - 3 puts me over the top. Back home I'd easily have 3 14oz beers.

A vodka tonic might have a same effect as beer, compared to a vodka cranberry. The size ("pint" can mean different things at different bars) and type of beer could also have some effect.
