Can anybody tell me what kind of car this is? Photo is from about 1912.

The dog's name was Fritz. The man and boy in the pic are some of my ancestors.

7. FWIW: It looks like its from the higher-end of the price scale, and as for the color,

it appears to be a lighter color (possibly red or green), with dark (probably black) pin-striping around the cowl and doors.. which reinforces the notion that it may be a pricier make of car, as only people willing to shell out some extra bucks got special colors. Also, consider that in that era there were many (very many) auto manufacturers around the country -some of which were only regionally distributed, and produced low numbers. LaFayette? Marmon? Peerless? White?.... Good luck finding out!

10. There were hundreds of automobile companies in the 10's, many of which
were never distributed nationally (ever hear of American Underslung)? If you know the location where the photo was taken you might search for the name of automobile producers in that area. Maybe you'll get lucky. The carriage lights certainly look distinctive as do the side ridges on the hood.

So many models were practically IDENTICAL in appearance back then,
it might take careful study of tiny details to tell one from another.
