Thinking of changing jobs.
I work for a luxury retailer. Make fairly decent money but the stress is crazy-making at times and management can be downright nitpicky over the stupidest things - we're not allowed to hang up a calendar at our desks, among other idiocy. Benefits are so-so.

I have about a 100% chance to get hired on by one of the big-three automakers in their credit department. Pay is better, management, from what my friend has told me, is super-cool and does not micro-manage to the point of stupidity. Benefits and bonuses are excellent. Restaurant on site with real coffee - no machine stuff.

I currently have a sweet work-week: Sun-Thu, 7am to 3pm and the office is 5 minutes from my house.

The one I am thinkng of going to is 15 minutes from my house and I have no idea what the work-week or hours are.

I have lots of thinking to do.

1. If you're getting burned out, it might be time to take a break...
but just in case your current job is a whole lot better than the others, it wouldn't hurt to do some research and see what the other jobs are like as much as you can beforehand, and try not to burn any bridges behind you at your current job if/when you leave. :)

2. You can have my job
You'd hate it and want to jump off a bridge like I do but you're welcome to it. :hi:

3. The grass is always greener on the other side
and sometimes it really is greener. Management in someplaces is really great and in others it sucks. You can't trust a company, only the people in it. If you have friends that say the place ain't so bad, jump all over it! I did the "loyal to the company" thing, and got screwed over. Be loyal to yourself. A job you that isn't going to eventually kill you is well worth looking in to. "I like my job" is the benefit I'm looking for now.

P.S. I was recently let go from a great job, without any reason, and am still in a "fuck you capitalist pigs" state of mind.
