3. Here's the thing....

I don't know if this is feasable for you, or if it something you would want.

Do you have any desire to open your own accounting business? Maybe create an LLC for yourself?

I used to manage a firm that sold all types of insurances, including health, to very small businesses if they met certain criteria.

If this is something you would want to examine, I was going to try to find you some employee benefits firms in your select areas that might offer this.

Have you given thought to going on your own?

4. I was on my own for several years
cash flow was a constant problem. I had one client invoiced $1500/month and he was consistently 30-60 days past due. It ruined my credit with the mortgage company since he was my biggest client...

5. That does not mean you can't go on your own again....
You have the experience. You will be in a new city.

Are you shying away from trying it again?

Borrowing for start-up may be a problem considering your credit?

However, start-up cost mat be limited since you could work out of your home or apartment.

Since you are talking to me on a computer, you have a lot of your capital equipment already I would assume.

If you move in with or live near friends, they could provide word of mouth to get you a client base. All you need are maybe 10 good clients...do a good job for them....word will spread....

Have you thought about this, or have you said no?

If you have done it before, you know what is involved, and you could do it again?

6. I might consider it
RL has some contacts in Milwaukee. I'll run it past him.

Thank you for your encouragement....

7. It might be a viable alternative...
You know you won't get rich quick, but you will survive, and maybe quite well.

Might be a last resort type of thing, but you can get it up and running quickly and ask Retro to mention your services to everyone he comes in contact with.

Ask him if he will hand out flyers in his store.

Beat the bushes as hard as you can, just to get your initial client base.

I'm going to try some employee benefits firms in Milwaukee that offer the benefits I am thinking about. If I find any, I will post them here.

9. Here's the kind of thing I am talking about....
http://www.anthemgroups.com/Producer.aspx?sid=36&sky=5MQWBK2D&pgi=441&pgk=NPL218LE&rid=29428&rky=4TPG1LNN&tky=128533496148169323

The "2-50 groups" toward the bottom of the page refers to small businesses having 2 to 50 employees. Maybe you could hire and pay Lelapin? That would bring you up to 2 employees and entitle you to participate in lower group rates as part of the medical trust.

There are some other criteria to be included in this group....I think you need maybe 50K gross revenue a year?

If you can swing this scenario, it is a lot cheaper than having to buy insurance as an individual.
