What are you doing for Earth Day?
I took part in a clean-up project at the historic Valley Cemetery in Manchester. We're clearing out scrub brush, picking up trash, and prepping it for the planting of new trees and plants. We had volunteers from City Year, Vista, Student Conservation Alliance, and the Timberland Corporation helping out. When the project is complete, a portion of the cemetery will be usable as public urban greenspace in the middle of inner city Manchester.

Tonight, I'm going to a Sierra Club rally at City Hall Plaza pushing for clean and sustainable energy alternatives.

So, what are YOU up to today?

3. I walked doing most of my errands. Not much of a boost to the earth - I usually walk.

5. My wife and I planted 11 trees on Saturday!
We got them from the Arbor Day Foundation. I'm also a card-carrying member of the Sierra Club!

7. gardened
my blueberries and grapes and strawberries are growing and I'm sure the birds and squirrels will strip them bare again.
And all the flowers that feed the bees and bats and hummingbirds are coming back.
I hung out with my fat spoiled-rotten squirrels

And I got like FOUR times as many petitions in my email today lol
