I've been thinking about buying a big ol' 15 seat passenger van and going into business for myself. I figured up the cost of a new van, plus commercial insurance, plus fuel and subtracted that from my estimated income. I would generate $1400 a month profit just by working weekends. My plan is to advertise a shuttle service to a casino about 60 miles down the road. One round trip per person would cost $30. You could go down to the casino for about 6 hours, get nice and toasted while playing black jack, and not have to worry about getting home safely. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than a taxi or a night in the casino hotel, and you won't get a DUI.
I'm figuring that I could get 10 customers a day on Saturday and Sunday. Am I being too optimistic? Does this sound like a service you or somebody you know would use?

Is there any similar service in your area already?
You could also try to make a deal with the casino to provide something (meal voucher, roll of quarters, etc.) to your customers, or even have them underwrite part of your costs.

Now, that sounds damn clever to me!
If I were the gambling sort, and I lived in your neighborhood, I'd go for it!
Have you done any research on this? Any data out there?
See what a tobacco-free brain can come up with?
