The violin student down the hall is playing "Garryowen"
Edited on Tue Apr-22-08 06:03 PM by mycritters2
over and over and over. Happily, it's time for me to go home and walk the beagle.

Oh, God! It's starting again! Now I know why the Indians slaughtered the 7th Cavalry. If someone were taking my land AND playing THAT...well, I'd make good use of whatever weapon I had on hand. :banghead:

4. That's nuthin'.
My daughter was in Suzuki violin. Years of Twinkle, Twinkle and hundreds of variations on the theme.

5. This is Suzuki. There are lessons in the Sunday School rooms
Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school. I can empathize with you. I've heard more than my share of "Twinkle, Twinkle".

10. Ah.
An advanced student.
I like the variation played on the cigar box the best.

8. I can't apologize to my parents enough for having to deal with that.
Thankfully by the time my little sister started playing, we'd found a teacher who didn't follow the Suzuki method. So they didn't have to go through it all over again.

11. That's merciful.
My daughter was awfully cute with her 1/8 size violin, though.

13. Yes, but I'm sure she would have been a lot cuter had that violin not been sawing out
yet another variant on Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. :P

15. Go find some sheet music to the Psycho soundtrack
and give it to them. There's not much to it, so it should be easy for them to learn it :P
