Lounge! What's your favorite Whiskey
I won some money in an essay contest, so I got a bottle of Knob Creek, although my stand-bys (when I don't have the extra money) are Old Crow and Jim Beam.

What's your drink?

but only 3 hours last night.

I will probably be able to return to semi-normal tonight. Thanks for asking.

I love the Dew...was introduced to it to college and drink it on rare occasions now. :hi:

my standard drink is Johnny Walker Black.

From there I go up to Jameson, Makers Mark, Johnny Walker Blue, etc..

I have had 2 bottles of Blue (at $200 a pop) in my life.

This young lady I know was having a (I think Birthday) party, and her dad, being a good guy said "oh, don't waste your money on booze, take this" and gives her some two-liter sprite bottles full of moonshine.

It was an experience.

Right up to the mellowing process, it is very similar to bourbon, but that's where the lineage ends. All bourbons are whiskey, but not all whiskeys are bourbon.

But it is a whisky. And it happens to be my favorite. Or at least tied with Wild Turkey.

Straight. No ice, Maybe a beer chaser (preferably a Sam Adams product).

NO Budweiser or Miller Lite. Gawd that stuff is awful.

a true sour mash bourbon, yeah only 4 years old, but half the cost of jack, 86 proof, and it gets the job done quickly and quite nicely.

i defy any whiskey snobs here to have a problem with this one...

but it was rather expensive. :) Just got a glass of it at a pub, and since I was going to be driving, I only had a sip. Or two. But it was REALLY smooth. Just melted in my mouth.

For mixing with eggnog during the holidays I usually use Bushmill's. But I don't like that one as much for drinking straight.
