6. My wife watches American Idol

and she's not vapidly ignorant. As a matter of fact, she's quite intelligent, and has a highly responsible job involving medical care for US military members in Europe. American Idol is this thing called 'entertainment', like watching Star Trek or Friends or baseball. It's brain candy, harmless fun for those that enjoy that sort of thing. Do you spend all of your waking hours pondering the mysteries of the universe, working in soup kitchens, reading weighty tomes, etc?

Don't mean to gripe, but I'm getting tired of the recent DU trend to bash AI watchers, Texans and Catholics. I thought the Dems were the big tent party?

he used to go almost every weekend to the gay bar my husband and I worked at in Charlotte in the 90's. He was kinda nice. It was before he got those muscles though :puke: and he looks like he's wearing makeup there, he didn't look so scary in real life. we called him Scott. and I still think he's creepy.
