I am beyond disbelief, is THAT what it takes to be a "first tier city"? Good hospitals, good universities, good public schools? A vibrant economy, affordable housing, low crime rates? Screw all that nonsense, all you need is a Nordstroms department store.........

1. It was a big deal when my area got a Starbucks
Then it was an Apple store.

We're still waiting on a Costco!

5. That mall in green hills I think.
It just puzzled me that it took a Nordstroms to become a "first tier city".

3. I know. That does seem like a sillly marker of a city's success. But, I'm excited.
:bounce: I've missed Nordstrom's since I moved from the east coast. I live in Memphis, but I visit Nashville frequently.

4. Neener neener neener! We got ours last month!
So tiny, isolated Honolulu, without pro football, hockey, or even the Grand Ole Opry, beat Nashville into the first tier! BWAHAHAHAHA!!! :P
