O.K., what's wrong with this list: Wendy MALICK, Debra MESSING, Kelly RIPPA?!1

I'm on an about 10 yrs delay, don't see series weekly, while they're current, only after they've gone to cable, on the treadmill. The plus side of this is that at a clip of sometimes two episodes per day, you get to see the whole thing and characters develop.

I find these women very appealing, with an intelligence and quickness tinged with wackiness.


MESSING actually seems to be of Lucille BALL quality, including physical comedy.

What I remember of MALICK from "Dream On" her character was more deadly domineering yet hilarious. And in "Just Shoot Me" she is rip roaring wacky. The earliest episodes, marked by her short haircut, were fairly bad, then in the second or third season, she absolutely rocked.


And RIPPA is just SO quick.


So are these SHALLOW choices?!1 They are just SO attractive on a barely conventional to non-conventional level. The roots for these are my dad's and my crush on Doris DAY back when, and comedies with Zazu PITTS.

What the hell.... I got the "snipping" when I was a baby, and I can live without pork easily enough.

:shrug: Not shallow at all in my book. Malick and Messing are great comediennes (Malick looks pretty good in person too). I'm not as familiar with Rippa, but I think she's a sight better than Kathy Lee.
But yes, Zasu Pitts is QUITE unconventional...

Kelly Ripa used to bug me, but I have grown to really like her. She seems pretty sharp and is really funny. Plus, she is so damned sexy!!

I have seen Wendy Malick and Debra Messing in person -- both are gorgeous. Debra Messing used to be in a show that they shot at Warner Bros. (where I work). Everytime I saw her, she was smoking. (Yuck).
