As far as this ignorant American is concerned, that means you're one of them. :P

21. Aha! Your sordid past finally revealed!
I was branded as "Lil Missy" by a co-worker that I butt heads with on a daily basis, and bantered with all the time. She's a freeper and hated that I'm gay, but we loved each other anyway.

She prayed that I would finally see the error of my ways and "turn" straight. I like to think I had some impact on her, because she abandoned one of her daughters because she was gay.

I love her dearly still. We could butt heads and she'd come in the next day and we'd start all anew as friends. I adore her. She loves me too. But that is because it's okay for me to be gay, as long as it doesn't happen in her own family.

Kinda sad, actually. They've been estranged for several years now. :(

13. Rats!
I thought to myself, "A little fermented curd will do the trick." So I curtailed my Walpoling activities, sallied forth and infiltrated your place of purveyance to negotiate the vending of some cheesy comestibles.

AND NOW YOU TELL ME IT'S DEFECTIVE?!?

19. It's like this:
We live in a small village with one-lane traffic up and down most of the mountain; it takes 15 minutes to get down the mountain during the summer construction season; 10 minutes in the bank; another 15 minutes to get to the Migros in San Antonino, then 30 minutes to get back home. One hour and 10 minutes of driving alone. But the 50 minutes in Migros on a Friday morning _feels_ like eternity.

:wtf: indeed. :scared:

35. I LOVE PIGGLY WIGGLY!!!!!
Swiss culture would be greatly improved by the presence of Piggly Wiggly. Instead, we're getting an Aldi store a couple of towns over, and I've already begun boycotting the new Aldi in my mind.

"Je schlechter es den Menschen geht, desto besser geht es uns" (The worse off the people are, the better off we are). <-- Quote from the mother of the founders of Aldi supermarket chain.

What kind of detergent does a front loader use? We have a front loading machine and it has a little compartment that you slide out to pour in the detergent. If Surf is okay, you can have half of mine!

38. Hi from a newbie!
:hi:

I got so jealous when I saw you live in Switzerland, but I'm confused....

Are you an American living in Switzerland? If so, you're so friggin lucky! Can I ask how you ended up there? Work-related or personal choice?

Matter of fact, even if you weren't American, you're still lucky to live in Switzerland! ;)
