I have a new job I like, 40k a year. I work as a computer admin for a medium sized Ambulance company. Just me and one other guy run the show. Benefits and pay though...yeck.

So a big local company here is offering me 52k, great benefits cheap, and free cable (all channels) and internet (they are the main provider of cable here).

My boss is a great guy and hired me because he spends most of his time handling specific applications relating to ambulances and such and is more of an EMT than a computer person. And in the 2.5 weeks I have been there I have solved a ton of problems and even had a letter sent to my home from one of the executive assistants to the owner thanking me for fixing a major problem they had (and I have solved several for them already). People there like me a lot, I am making a difference - but on the other hand 1k more a month and no cable/internet bills plus full benefits in 2 months versus 6 months (and a lot cheaper) is attractive.

Small office where I will eventually be the Manager (my boss is older and wants to retire someday soon) versus getting back into the corporate world (I was a data center manager for 5 years for the 2nd largest bank in the US).

What would you do?

21. well it would depend on what i enjoyed more...

To me it's not worth the extra money if i am not happy. I'd rather do something that I enjoy and make less money than something I wasn't so fond of. It would also depend on my financial situation...I would consider a higher paying job if I wasn't financially sound. Either way you should do what makes you happy and if you have a good relationship with your boss then he will understand whatever you decide.

20. Ok I am on I-81 just south of Binghamton NY.

My delivery is in Greensboro NC. In your opinion would it be faster for me to go I-81S to 220s. Or I-81s to I-77S to 52s.
