What ball yard is it where they play 'Sweet Caroline' on the PA
and kill the sound after Diamond sings "Sweet Caroline" and the fans go "BA BA BAAAA"?

Is it Fenway?

The song was just on XM's '60s channel and I found myself sort of mindlessly doing the "BA BA BAAAA" bit when it occurred to me, "Hey, that's from a ball game!"

4. Thanks!
I was thinking it was a Sox game where I heard it, but I'm old 'n' stuff.

That's almost as cool as "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" at Wrigley. :D

:hi:

7. Can't help it
This is where they put me. :P

I've always wanted to catch games at Fenway and Wrigley. Guess I'd better hurry up if I'm gonna do the former. :(

8. Hell, I live 2 hours' drive from Fenway and have never been to a game there.
Not yet, anyway. :)

9. I'm that far from San Francisco
— a bit less, actually — and I still haven't been to PacBell/SBC/AT&T Park. x(

Don't even have to drive because there's a CalTrain station a block from the yard (though I have to drive about 40 miles to catch a Gameday Special).

Oh — the Giants have a cool tradition, too: Around the third inning, they let a little kid announce the hitters on the PA. It's so cute. :D

They've also had a female PA announcer since 2000, Renel Brooks-Moon.

10. Actually, in addition to Fenway, I think the Nats play it as well.
I went to a game in 2005 in RFK and it was played. The Nats probably stole the idea though. I think it's an east coast phenomenon.
