So what do you have planned for the weekend?
I'm going to the beach on Sunday, take the wife and pooch, get some food & drinks, sun screen, a good book and relax.

3. Moving!
Today and tomorrow is the biggest part of my move. Tomorrow afternoon is also Game 2 of the Avs-Wings series, and tomorrow evening the play that my best friend directed is premiering. Tonight I'll hopefully hang out with my friends in Boulder, then I'll be up bright and early tomorrow morning to finish moving.

4. Trip across the state for haircuts tomorrow,
hopefully with good eats and shopping, and then hellish homework on Sunday. 3 article responses, 1 5-6 pg paper, and a final draft of a 20 page group research paper to assemble and write the conclusion for.

6. Movies and more movies!
A group of friends and I are having an old fashioned movie/sleepover weekend.

Tonight: the late showing of Prom Night
Tomorrow: a home viewing of Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, followed by a trip to the theater to see Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.

In between, who knows. Probably a pillow fight. Or something.

10. cool, tomorrow you are 26?
:toast:  have fun and make a point of doing something nice for yourself....even if it's just going outside and taking a big deep breath of spring air, in the beautiful sunshine.

Birthdays are a great time to affirm what you want to pull in for the next year. Be intentional about it. It works, trust me.

I'm glad you were born. Happy Birthday. :hi:

Yeah, I'll be the big 2-6. I'm getting old. :( There won't be any sunshine tomorrow. It's raining and snowing right now. I hate MN weather. x(

20. Honey, you are hardly "old".
here's a funny story:

My b'day was a month ago today. My 11 yr old dtr gave me a very sweet homemade card in which she wrote: "No matter how old you get, we will always love you."

 I guess I must be "ancient" now, at the ripe age of 44. LOL.

She also wrote, "You are older and wiser." and the word "wiser" was underlined three times, so I guess it ain't all bad!

Sorry the weather outside is crappy, but at least make sure you do something symbolic and nice for yourself tomorrow...even if it's just lighting a candle and making a wish!

:toast: May your blessings outnumber your birthday candles, my friend. :toast:

we've got our daughter's softball game to attend tomorrow and on Sunday I'm taking a three hour bikeride.

Should be a gorgeous spring weekend, out here on the west coast.

16. gardening
Edited on Fri Apr-25-08 04:40 PM by stuntcat
it sounds pleasant eh 'gardening' :eyes: I have to dig up grubs and pull weeds and lay down mulch, with my nose and eyes both running the whole time. But then I'll watch movies or something when the sun goes down.

edit:

23. Well, I'm going to start out by apologizing profusely for standing up a friend.
and just generally feeling guilty. That should take up most of the evening.

Then a church clean-up day tomorrow morning. A birthday party for a 98 year old parishioner tomorrow afternoon. Maybe a movie tomorrow night, maybe a quiet evening at home. Worship Sunday morning, an clergy installation service in a town about 15 miles away Sunday afternoon. Then putting my feet up Sunday night.

25. That sounds heavenly...it's back to damn near winter here and
it's supposed to suck ass, weather-wise. And Hubby has to work for a few hours anyway...but I'm going to surprise him; the grandkids are coming to spend the night - we have not seen them in a while, and I'll go pick them up while he's at work and they can surprise him when he gets home :-)
If it were nice out, I'd be gardening, but I guess I'll do indoor things with the kids, and in the shop when they go home on Sunday.

Have a great time at the beach!! :-)
