The 21st century is amazing and weird
My son is in Arizona.. he just called me to have me go online & look for the exit one would take to get to the Coachella Valley Music Festival.. Why?

On his other line, his friend is on hold.. The friend is on the 10 Freeway just outside Palm Springs, and he left his map at home...so he called my son to ask directions..

So I am online getting driving instructions to tell my son in Arizona, so he can tell his friend who is driving down the freeway

and when I was a kid we had ONE phone ...a dial phone on a wall in the kitchen :)

2. I've done this before...
With my ex. She was at a grocery store or something, and her family was bringing our son back from a visit with them. They call her, asking for directions. She calls me, I get on Google Earth and map out how they have to go, she relays it back to them!

And then last Thanksgiving my grandparents got lost coming over to the house (traffic accident closed down the road). Wound up with my dad and my great-uncle out looking for them. At one point, I had my grandma on my great-aunt's phone and my dad on my phone, so I just took the two phones and held them so each one's speaker was up against the other's microphone and yelled "TALK". And, darn it, it worked! Dad and grandma were able to talk directly to each other and get things sorted out! :-)

4. One of my friends ALWAYS calls me for directions from her car.
She so ditsy she just can't help it. I always help her, but I always laugh at her and give her a little shit for it.

Did I mention that she's in Colorado and I'm in Ohio. She also did it when she lived in Texas, too.
