Well, what did you realistically expect?
This is certainly better than nothing...
Maybe...
Sorry, sweetie...
Time to look for someone way more eligible...

4. Casual Friendship: "Dude, let's go to Von's and get some Skittles." |
|
Formal Friendship: "I say, Reginald, I find myself yearning for a delightful, yet compact, fruit-flavored sugar confection. Let us away to the local grocery discount establishment and procure a few parcels of candy!"

6. "Casual Friendship" defined... |

You make all the effort to keep the friendship alive while he gets an ego trip out of it. I say leave Bozo to the clowns. You deserve much better.

I read all the threads, my advice? Stay away from this person, journal like crazy, and move forward with your life.
Married men are poison, and will always stay with the wife, or go back to her after they've messed with your head. I don't speak as one who knows, but as someone who's best friend's husband cheated on her, and I saw the struggle they both went through. After counseling he cleared up HIS issues and they are tight as ticks. It's a no-win situation, and maintaining a friendship is usually toxic. There is always guilt involved, and that is not a good thing to inject in any relationship. Just my .02.
YMMV. -48

14. I hope you take this opportunity to leave the situation alone. |

Sometimes it's better if we resist the urge to keep picking at a situation.
