Traumatized kitties friendly Minnesotans and other trip tidbits..

I shared the medical news from my trip in another thread..but man, there was a lot of interesting stuff this trip.
My poor kitties. They are both so upset. When I got home, Sophie the kitty I had to leave at home wouldn't stop meowing and she pawed at me all NIGHT wanting attention. Now poor Smokie was apparantly so stressed by her time at the vet that not only did she barf a few times but she wouldn't defecate for three days and had to have cat-lax (I don't even want to know what that is!)
Sophie's scared and won't get near me or Smokie at the moment..and Smokie won't stop meowing and doesn't want to leave me..Clearly kitty therapy is in order..I think next time I will just leave them with plenty of food and water and extra litter..It has to be less traumatic than this trip..
Also I did enjoy meeting the Minnesota DU'ers on Monday..that was fun. In generaal the people up there are very nice and friendly..Although I'm not quite sure if so many people asked me where I was from because just talking to me it was pretty evident I wasn't from around there..And yes, they do talk like the people in "Fargo"....:hi:
And finally, I just want to say, seriously that outside of his naughty persona on DU, temeah is actually a really nice and helpful and interesting fellow and I'm happy to call him friend..he was very helpful to me..I didn't get lost ONCE cause of his help (well except for that little mixup about where Sears was... :P )

2. Oh c'mon not all of us sound like we were in "Fargo"

(Someday I'll tell you the ever so amusing story of what happened to me n junior high after my family moved back from here Buffalo, NY). I think people ask where you're from because, even with the Mall of America and Mayo we're still surpised anyone would come here unless they're visting relatives.

I'm so glad things went well at the little clinic on the prairie and I'm sure the cats will get through ithis trauma...They're probably just trying to make you feel guilty.
