Trying to locate the person who lives on the Olympic Peninsula, WA... but can't find the name.
It begins with "C" and is something like clifforddu but I'm not having any luck finding it by searching the "C" directors.

Is that you or someone you know? If so, please post here or PM me.

I wanted to find out if you (or anyone else reading this) know anything about the resort at Quinault, Washington.

Thanks for your help!

Cordially,

Radio Lady in Oregon

2. Are you talking about the lodge at Lake Quinalt?
I was there a few months ago (for lunch, didn't stay overnight).

4. Yes, that is the place we are trying to get to... I'm clueless.
I'm looking for anyone who has ever stayed there or any information.

I've been busy all day and outside doing errands.

We do appreciate your checking in, Jade Fox. How was the lunch????

5. The lunch was good, but pricey....
The lodge is quite lovely. The lake is just okay, but there are apparently some great hikes in the area.

Here's the website:

6. There is a special on for spring.
It is in today’s paper. Here is a link, click on a trio of treasures. http://www.visitwashingtonparks.com/

We have not stayed there, however; did you cross post this in the Washington forum?

7. Thanks to you DUers who responded. I'll print this and put it in the 2009 Travel Folder.
Thanks so much. When we get serious about planning for next year, I'll revive this discussion.

We have an OPEN HOUSE today at our home and I'm just busy.

Appreciate all the information.

8. It's beautiful Radio Lady

You want to stay in the main lodge which is the original building. It's very remote (IMO) The complex itself offers many housing options. There is a store across the street than my SO and I thought of purchasing the last time it was for sale. I decided I couldn't live 3 hours away from the nearest Costco.

The original lodge building is absolutely beautiful. The lake is spectacular. The restaurant is good but not outstanding and rather pricey.

If you are going to be on the Olympic Peninsula let me also recommend Log Cabin Resort on Lake Crescent. It's rustic but attracts a great clientele. Lake Crescent is my favorite lake in WA. It is farther north but offers easy access to day trips to the Ho Rain Forest, Sol Duc Hot Springs, Sequim/Dungeness Spit, and even the Ocean.
