Since we're talking movies...I just finished watching "The Golden Compass"
Why, oh, why, didn't I see this throughly wonderful film in the theater? It just came out on dvd.

I just adored it. The only word I can use to really describe it is...magical.

5. I saw the movie first
and enjoyed the story so much I went to the books (got my son to read them too) and enjoyed the books immensely.

8. Visually and effects-wise, I thought they did a phenomenal job.
They did a HORRIBLE job adapting the story, however. x(
