DU ladies, flat shoes are in
And I was glad at first, because I thought they were comfortable. But today I tried on ten pairs of "flats" in the shoe store, and they all hurt my feet. I'm sticking with my three inch wedges and heels, thank you very much.

2. They all seemed to cut very tightly across the top of my foot.
Is it just me?

3. no it's not just you, my daughter has a high instep or "the hoof" as we call it and i have flat feet
so find flats that fit is difficult, plus i need something with a little support and ballet flats don't have any.

19. thats what she called it, her instep is super high so finding cute and comfy shoes
is always a challenge and she's 13 so having something cute is always good.

5. But I just got some new flats!!
A classic tennis shoe that is the same as 40 years ago except the price. Very comfy.

9. Just find shoes that fit
Eliminating the heel is not the problem, high arches are.

I have high arches, and yet I haven't worn heels in years. Trust me, your back will thank you.

Heels are a western form of torture for women.

11. Oh I love flats! Can't abide anything over 1 inch heel...
but maybe that's coz I'm over 50, overweight,
and usually overwrought!

16. That's me
Sneakers and ballet slippers. But I've lately seen other women wearing more formal flat shoes to work, and I wanted in on the action. Oh well, I guess it's just not meant to be.
