It doesn't have to be religious, just something that touches you deeply. I am not a religious person but I'll start with a newly discovered version of an old classic. If you have about 8 minutes, please check it out. You'll never listen to this song the same way again.

Amazing Grace-Wintley Phipps

I'll come back with something not so religious later.

4. I am SO tempted to say something completely inappropriate...
like "But we're not allowed to post porn here" or something like that. :P

But seriously, I think this is rather astounding. http://www.thelivinggarden.com/

5. Two: by a student of American History and by an American aviatrix
David McCullough, from 1776, a study of George Washington, the Continental Army, and the beginning of American War for Independence.

But in the last analysis it was Washington and the army that won the war for American independence. The fate of the war and the revolution rested on the army. The Continental Army -- not the Hudson River or the possession of New York or Philadelphia -- was the key to victory. And it was Washington who held the army together and gave it "spirit" through the most desperate of times.

And Amelia Earhart:

Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace.

7. Thanks bertha, I hadn't seen that before.
I agree that, just as Ava has reminded us, peace takes courage. Thanks for sharing.
