I tried to watch "The Kingdom" last night
Edited on Sun Apr-27-08 06:59 PM by darkstar
and I know there is no accounting for taste, but I couldn't get past the first half hour, mostly because I didn't like the acting of Garner or Foxx. Nope. Just not for me. And I liked Alias and Ray, so it's not that I dislike *them.* I had really hoped to kill some time with an action/intrigue flick, but was not to be.

Let's see. I like the Bourne stuff (iffy on #3), Micheal Clayton, Children of Men, and Syriana. Did not care too much for the recent Bond so many folks seemed to like. Had hoped Vantage Point was out.

So any recommendations? Mz D is out of town for another couple of days

1. i just rented "The Kite Runner" and i'll be watching it tonight. Have you seen
"Into the Wild" or "Gone baby gone"? Anyhow i really liked both of those, i'm going to guess you've seen No country for old men and There will be blood.

I also didn't like The Kingdom and Rendition, blah.

2. Those all sound good
but, I don't know, maybe more serious or heavy than I wanted to get into, even though I've seen No Country. I passed on Rendition last night, for example looking for a bit more mindless fare. And I know my wife is interested in Into the Wild and thinks she might be able to take Blood (not sure I can, however.) Gone Baby Gone is the one Affleck directed/produced, right?
