1. You should just suck it up and stay with the matcoms. |
|
The Mrs. is very nice. He's, well, he's, um, matcom.

3. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about hotels here in Boston |
|
when I have to book rooms for people coming in to visit here at the office, I book at The Charles Hotel in Cambridge, but that can be pricey.
Sorry!

4. Park Plaza is the best one and is spitting distance from the Common.. |
|
My wife and I stayed at the Langham. It's nice, I guess and very close to downtown in the financial district. There's also a hotel at Quincy Market (that might be its name, actually) that I heard is a little run down and noisy in the daytime, but it is at Quincy Market.

9. Park Plaza is a good bet |
|
That's our layover hotel in Boston. I've gone out and walked all over from there at night and never been hassled.

6. Boston's about as safe as NYC at night. |
|
In other words, pay attention and when in doubt hail a cab or ride the T.
It's a tough town for hotel rooms in May because of college commencements and hotel rooms are pricey most of the time. When I need hotel space I stay over in Cambridge so I can't recommend a place in Boston proper, but Copley Square and the Faneuil Hall areas are well situated for tourists.
