1. Did he do something particularly heinous? |
|
I mean recently. Bush v. Gore alone reserves him a pied-a-terre in the Ninth Circle of Hell. :grr:

4. I saw snippets of his 60 Minutes interview |
|
He said we should "get over" Bush v. Gore and actually claimed that GORE initiated the court activity. He also said waterboarding doesn't violate the 8th Amendment prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment.

5. He and BushCo need to talk more often |
|
since one of BushCo's signing statements directly contradicts what good ol' Scalia said regarding cruel and unusual punishment. The signing statement used the phrase "treatment or punishment" in the definition, and Scalia's argument is that torture isn't punishment, so there's no constitutional violation.
Obviously, the distinction really doesn't matter to those of us with brains. Regardless, there it is.
What a piece of shit.

6. Anyone remember the book/movie The Pelican Briefs? |
|
not that I'm condoning that sort of thing. I actually think we need to overthrow the whole fucking system and start over with the first thing we do being taking god out of government and the second thing to stop trying to boss around the rest of the world. All that war money could be better used to educate people and help them break the cycle of poverty rather than kill civilians, cause them grievous bodily harm that will keep them from having a successful future and destroying the mental health (physical too) of our soldiers over there. This is why I'm convinced that we can't have Hillary. I'm scared of what she might try to do to prove she's tough.
