that the ONE person that both of us care the MOST about is becoming any kind of an issue!!!!
Custody... I want joint custody.
:grr:
I cannot describe the frustration I feel at the moment with the idea that she is going to consider fighting me on this.

Divorce brings out the worst in some people. I didn't have any children when I divorced my first husband, so I have no custody advice to offer. Just do what you think is best for your child.

I don't know any of the particulars - is she open to therapy or counseling of any type - with the both of you, perhaps? I definitely wish you well on this!!

bring out the worst in people. Hopefully she will want what is best for your son. Is it sole custody she is after? We had joint custody but I had physical custody, that actually worked out fairly well for us even tho at one point the ex and his new wife wanted "full". I would think it would be pretty difficult to get "full, sole custody unless she can "prove" otherwise. In my case it was all about $, they could not stand having the child support leave their house.

this. It saddens me that some people use their children a pawns.
Let you lawyer handle everything. Don't even talk to her about it, except remind her that your son comes first, no matter what.
