Play a "world music" song from late 1800s to early 1900s
What was going on in the rest of the world as Blues/Jazz dominated The United States music during the late 1800s and early 1900s?

I've been watching YouTube and reading Wiki all morning to find out. Perhaps you know a genre, style, or have additions from your family history you'd like to add.

No holds barred. Let 'er rip ;)

Australian music appears to be much like USA's

I couldn't find a "change" in Asian music date-wise for the most part. It went from five hundred year old traditions to modern dance musics. If you know do tell.

Sadly, of all the continents none had as much to do with the advancement of today's music than the people of Africa. For this I am truly grateful and sorrowful simultaneously.

Anyhow... since I couldn't decide what followed jazz I went with this :P

Have fun :)
