16. Not if you pay someone to do it for you
in a heated facility during the off season so you don't lose one second of precious on-water time.

How can you have a boat when you live in a place where the water is not frozen for like 2 hrs at a time...:P
Your state motto should be: Minnesota-land of a thousand ice cubes....

We have many lakes here on which to enjoy a good sail, including the greatest of them all, Lake Superior. We just cant do it year round. It makes the few months when we can, all the more special.

I wonder how much that adds to the price.

11. seems awfully pricey for a day sailor....
For anywhere near that price I'd want cruising capability.

15. it does, I agree
part of the price is the horrible exchange rate right now, the boat is built in Sweden.

12. can you teach me to sail?
I've been on catamarans, etc. but never had to sail a boat. When I've imagined/looked into where I may get a job (and if I don't start sending out more resumes, that will not be possible... you have to ask to get hired, strangely... ) ANYWAY, I looked at living on a boat for some places. Not to say I would, but just looking at what it might be like... those are houseboats, not sail boats, obviously.

24. Well, I believe you, but it might have to be pretty distorted
before I'd call it ugly. Most things that float look good to me. Homely old tugboats are among my favorites.

The only kind of boat I can think of right now that I don't care for are the small and mid sized yachts that look like someone took a nice boat and cut it in half. The stern looks like it should be the middle of a bigger boat.
