4. Thanks, Jason and Sallly. It's been a couple of tough years for admissions.
Lots of great students have had a hard time these 2 years.

Now, I know, she'll never lose her librul bias!

High above cayuga's waters theres an awful smell. Some say it's cayuga's waters. Some say it's Cor...
well, you know..

Actually, she's at RIT right now, and Cornell's hockey team played hers at RIT. The Cornell team lost, but not before chanting at the RIT kids: "Saf-ty-school! Saf-ty-school!"

11. Yay!
Currently going through the college search, it is tough. I hoped my youngest son would go to a SUNY school, got my fongers crossed. Cornell looks amazing, and the Ithaca is a great town! Congratulations!

12. Thanks, redwitch. The SUNYs are generally really good. Got my masters in Potsdam.
You might be surprised that the colleges will give you assistance to make them as affordable as a SUNY. The thing is, they're looking for certain majors and qualifications. So, if your child really likes a school, throw in the app while you're doing the others. You never know. They send the financial aid offers after the acceptances, so, you have to go through the whole thing and wait for that info.

It's a long process but it was fun. Mine was kicking and screaming through most of it but now, is grateful I dragged her around to visit.

It's nice to know they still need us, as much as they hate to admit it. I hope your guidance councellors are helpful. We didn't hire out any of the process, but some people do. It's been a tough couple of years. Our HS guidance councellor said the "returns" after the acceptances go out have been meager these last two years. It's the boomers. So many kids applying.

Hang in there!

17. No. AP's but some B's and lots of extras but no community stuff.
She did some research in the summer though.

The competition doesn't make much sense, so, just apply where you're interested, have a few safeties and be yourself. Honestly, that's all you can do.
