Is there a "Dentist Office" radio station that is piped in to all dentist offices nationwide?...
...I had my teeth cleaned today, and the music they were piping in, was the same stuff I've heard in every dentist office, ALL MY LIFE. Today, in the year 2008, I heard the Association, the Cowsills, Bobbie Vinton, and - no I'm not joking - Bobby Sherman... :wow:

Of course, I'm not sure what is more sad: me laying there with my mouth open listening to that, or the fact I knew who they were....:freak:

1. It's a conspiracy
Are you sure you actually "heard" the music, or was it really being beamed into your brain as they tested the new battery in your tooth-implant?

3. OMG, I remember all those groups too.
I don't get piped in music at my dentists office. Just some nauseating pics on the ceiling to look at while they have me on my back with that damned big bright light blinding me.

4. Hey, I'd be up for it
I prefer sixties and seventies pop to the modern adult contemporary or country that was generally played at the dentist's and orthodontist's offices when I went regularly a few years ago. I think the dentist's office now has one of those DMX-type programs where you can choose the genre of the music you want to listen via headphones, though.

Oh yeah, and I should add that I am a proud owner of the Association's two-disc anthology, Just the Right Sound; they're actually a largely underrated pop/soft-rock band, at least IMHO.

(Also, the Cowsills' "The Rain, The Park, and Other Things" is pretty awesome, as is "Easy Come, Easy Go" by Bobby Sherman! :hide:)
