If I Get Satellite Radio in my car... |
|
Edited on Wed Feb-18-04 01:10 AM by Mayberry Machiavelli
Will this give me any more options re: non RW talk radio? For some reason over the last several years I like to listen to talk radio instead of music in my car anymore. I now live in Dallas so you can listen to anything you want as long as it's an angry rightwing rant. Also what are the cool music options that satellite helps bring? I'm tired of all the Clear Channel programmed pop.

I'm thinking of getting "Serious Satalite Radio" for that reason plus I can't stand how bad commercial radio is getting...same old tired tunes and a gazillion commercials...
there's more music out there and I think satalite is the way to go...

I live in SoCal and could only get right-wingers. Now I listen to Thom Hartman, Young Turks, Marianne Williamson, Peter B. Collins, and Mike Malloy, on Sirius Left. It is beyond wonderful. Especially a Malloy rant (for several hours. The only bad thing is that Collins and Malloy were associated with ieAmerica, which is owned by the AFL-CIO or the Teamsters or some org like that, and the org is discontinuing ieAmerica. I e-mailed Sirius, explaining that I bought the equipment and opened the account because of Sirius Left, primarily. Sirius assured me that they, no matter what, will continue to provide high-quality liberal programming. I will update the Board when I find out what happens in March. I have felt 'at home' since I got the service -- listening to 'my own folk.'
