1. Orrex, i have a question that you might be able to answer, cause i can't answer yours |
|
Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."
"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"
His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.
Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"
:hi:

Between those fabled rivers once there stood The Garden wherein woman brought to man Acquaintance both with evil and with good, And Paradise thereafter fell to sand. Today are met commanders and their Chief, Reporting on the rising, bloody tide. Each death is tallied daily in his brief, As yesterday, when three Brazilians died. The President, a man profound of thought, Received this news in dignified repose, Reflecting on the carnage he has wrought, The many yet to die before its close. And when he spoke, his words bore sorrow's touch: "Remind me. A brazillion is how much?"
Sure, I've posted it before, but I don't often get to post in iambic pentameter, so why not?

I've heard that there's a module that, in a way, explained or justified the shift from 1st Ed. to 2nd actually within the game itself. Not just information for the players and/or DM, but some kind of encounter that validated the move for the characters themselves.
Is this true? Which module is it?

if it's true or not.
I can post the question in the forums on enworld.org and/or rpg.net. You'd most likely get an answer there.

Then once I'm done having my way with them, they usually charge me 50 bucks.

13. If she still posts here, Chovexani might be able to help |
|
I haven't seen her in a while online, but I know she plays 1e/2e D&D, so she might know the answer better than me.

15. There was one for the transition between 2nd and 3rd. |
|
It was called http://www.amazon.com/Apocalypse-Advanced-Dungeons-Dragons-Adventure/dp/0786916141">The Apocalypse Stone. I've never used it, but judging on it's name, I bet it causes the end of the world I know of no such module that exists for a 1st to 2nd Edition transition.

22. I asked an ubergeek friend about it, and he suggested it might have been published in Dragon |
|
As opposed to a standalone module. That's possible, I suppose, but in that case I'm way beyond my own limited sphere of knowledge on the matter.

My wife was a diehard Greyhawk collector. I'll have to read through our copy.

24. Over the years, I have changed my geeky ways |
|
I haven't rolled 2d10 in probably 15 years. Marriage/family put an end to all my D&D pursuits. :(
But back in the day, that game was about all I ever thought of...

25. I'm much the same--haven't played in a long time |
|
I still have the books, and I page through them every now and again. Also, when I meet up with a certian one of my friends, we often get to chatting about our former hobby.
Thanks for answering the question, though--it was vexing me.
