A yearly tradition, that barbaque, and way back in '95, they hit upon the LOX idea.
Dave Berry featured it in an article way back in '95. Goble did have a website about it - and I think he still does (on the Purdue server), with clips from a few fires and the effect of the fire lighting method on various kinds of grills (esp., to wit, that if one uses one of those cheap almost disposable grills, a LOX method will actually VAPORIZE the grill, and leave the charcoal burning quite nicely, but sitting on the ground (which is what you see in the second picture on that page).
